When our friends at AWD Gundog invited us to be part of the Blakemere Gundog Scurry, we couldn’t say yes fast enough! A day filled with happy, energetic gundogs doing what they love most? Count us in! We knew this was more than just a fun event—it was a chance to celebrate these incredible dogs and share a message that truly matters.
Full Speed Ahead—Where Gundogs Shine!
Gundogs were born to move! Bred for hunting and retrieving, they’re at their happiest when running at full speed, sniffing out a target, and working alongside their humans. Events like the Blakemere Gundog Scurry give these four-legged athletes the perfect playground to do what they do best. Seeing their ears flap, their tails wag like crazy, and their eyes light up with excitement? That’s pure joy! And we’re thrilled to be part of it.
A Prize That’s Worth the Chase!
To make the event even more exciting, we donated a Fully Orthopedic Surround Support Waterproof Large Dog Bed as a prize. After a long day of running, jumping, and retrieving, every hardworking pup deserves a cozy spot to crash. And guess what? The pet parents LOVED it just as much as their dogs did!

Yes, the event was packed with fun, but it also highlighted something important: not every dog is lucky enough to have an active, loving home. Sadly, many dogs end up in shelters because their owners underestimate how much exercise and stimulation they need. Gundogs, in particular, require plenty of action, and when their needs aren’t met, they can be abandoned. That’s why we’re here—to encourage responsible pet ownership and remind everyone that every dog deserves love, care, and the right home.
